A localized bulge in the abdomen or groin is called Hernia. It is something that can be harmless and pain-free but at times can also bring a lot of discomfort and pain. More common are umbilical, inguinal,incisional and ventral hernias.

In most cases, hernia is simply a painless or that may not require  immediate medical attention but sooner or later will require treatment. However early medical attention should be taken if  following symptoms appear:
